Widen for iPhone Duo, by Challis & Company Pty Limited · Last updated 20 October 2026

Widen is designed so that your data stays with you. We do not operate servers that collect, store, or process your personal information, and we do not sell data to anyone.

In short: Widen collects nothing about you and sends nothing anywhere. Your settings stay on your iPhone, and Apple handles the purchase.

What Widen does on a web page

Widen is a Safari extension. To change how wide a page is laid out, Safari lets it run a small script on the pages you visit, if you allow it. That script measures the page and the display and adjusts the layout on your iPhone. It does not read, record or send what is on the page, what you type or where you browse.

What is stored, and where

Nothing is copied to a server. We don’t run one.

Network activity

Widen makes no network connections of its own. It does not contact us or anyone else, does not load remote code, and does not check in when you browse.

Analytics and advertising

None. Widen contains no analytics, tracking, crash-reporting or advertising code, and it doesn’t identify you or your device.

Purchases

The one-time purchase is handled by Apple through the App Store. (The free week is simply counted on your iPhone.) We never see your payment details, name or Apple Account. The app asks Apple, on your iPhone, whether the unlock has been bought. Apple’s own privacy policy covers the purchase.

If you email us

If you contact support, we receive your email address and whatever you write, and use them only to reply. We don’t add you to any list.

Children

Widen collects no personal information from anyone, of any age.

Changes

If this ever changes, this page will be updated first and the date at the top revised.
